CYBERSIGHT Zenith Pro Smart Glasses
Live HUD Data and Radar
Released in May 2026, CYBERSIGHT Zenith Pro is a pair of HUD sports glasses for cyclists who want access to ride data without repeatedly looking down at a bike computer or watch. It displays ride data, navigation guidance and compatible radar alerts in the rider’s line of sight while continuing to work with the devices cyclists already use.
The product is designed to reduce the number of times a rider needs to glance at a handlebar screen or turn a wrist to check a watch. This can be particularly useful on unfamiliar routes, in traffic and during group rides, when attention needs to stay on the road and the riders nearby.
Ride information in front of the rider
A bike computer or watch remains an important source of ride data. Zenith Pro changes where selected information appears. Depending on the connected setup, riders can choose from more than 60 supported metrics, including speed, power, cadence, heart rate, gradient and gear position.
The binocular waveguide display uses CYBERSIGHT’s InfinityFocus
optical design to reduce the focus adjustment needed between the HUD and the road ahead.

Rear traffic alerts in the HUD
When used with a compatible radar taillight, such as Garmin Varia, Zenith Pro can show approaching vehicle alerts in the HUD. This makes radar information visible without requiring the rider to check a separate screen.

Garmin CIRQA Smart Band – $199.99 / €199.99 / £179.99
All the data, without the monthly bill.
We covered CIRQA’s launch back in Gear Break: Arrival Paris on July 24. Here’s the part we didn’t get into: cost comparison to its closest rival, and who this is for. So why CIRQA? Short answer, you are an athlete who doesn’t want to pay for a subscription to get your performance and recovery data, and you don’t want to wear a bulky GPS watch‚ sometimes or all the time.
Unpacking
Let’s dive in. Garmin sent me a steel-blue band in S-M (yes, I’ve got small wrists). They also conveniently included the upper arm band, also in S-M (yes, I’ve got noodle arms).
In the box: the CIRQA module clipped into a steel-blue woven ComfortFit band, a quick start guide, and a proprietary charging cable with USB-C on the wall end. A detailed online manual is also easily accessed, from a computer or smartphone, and you can be assured it will always be up to date as Garmin adds features. No different than any other Garmin product from the last 10+ years.
Pairing took under two minutes. Garmin Connect found the band on its own, and walked me through a straightforward pairing process.
Then it prompted me to set up my CIRQA Smart Band. The app asked whether I’d wear it on my wrist or arm and which side, walked through an auto-activity-detection consent screen, and synced. No manual required. If you’ve set up a Garmin watch before, this will feel identical, because it’s built on the exact same app.
Tech N Spec
The key details are pretty simple.
- Battery life: up to 10 days (claimed).
- Charging: proprietary 4-pin dock, USB-C on the wall end, about 90 minutes for a full charge.
- Weight: 14.8g module, 20.7g complete S/M band, 21.2g complete L/XL band.
- Water resistance: 5 ATM (pool-safe, per Garmin).
- Sensor: Garmin Elevate Gen 4 optical Heart rate sensor.
- Metrics: Body Battery, stress, HRV, sleep stages and score, training readiness, VO2 max, recovery time, connected GPS via phone, 80+ manually-logged activities.
- Optional Garmin Connect+ subscription: $6.99/month for guided workouts, nutrition tools, and AI insights — this sub unlocks some additional Connect features, but data collection and access is entirely included with the purchase of the unit.

The Real Comparison Is Whoop, Not Fitbit
Whoop’s model is subscription-only: $199-$359 a year, hardware bundled into the membership. CIRQA is a $199.99 one-time buy – it already undercuts a year of Whoop Peak ($239), and every year after costs nothing more unless you want to opt in for Garmin Connect+ at $6.99/month. Three years in: roughly $200 total for CIRQA versus $700-plus for Whoop Peak. That gap is the whole pitch.
Same Engine, Smaller Package
Garmin didn’t invent new sensors for CIRQA, in fact it used a one generation older sensor for reasons explained below. Current generation Fenix 8 and Forerunner owners have the Elevate Gen 5 optical sensor to get Body Battery, stress tracking, HRV status, and overnight recovery. CIRQA solves a different problem: you don’t want to sleep in your Fenix, or wear a GPS watch under a dress shirt, but you still want the 24-hour data stream. CIRQA with the Elevate Gen 4 is the low-profile answer — the ecosystem’s existing intelligence, worn as a strap instead of a watch. The older, but smaller Gen 4 sensor, allowed Garmin “miniaturize” the package
Chrissy Wheeler, Cirqa Produce Manager, sez this was a deliberate trade-off for size: “The reason we didn’t go for the very latest one is the size of the module.”
The question then becomes, if Garmin used an older generation sensor, does it deliver equivalent performance? DC Rainmaker noted in his pre-product release testing that compared to the Gen 5, there was no notable difference. While my testing was not quite as scientific as Ray’s, I would agree with his assessment. When comparing data collected on back-to-back days with data from my EPIX Pro (Gen 2), I comfortably chalked up the minor differences in data on otherwise similar days to factors related to my rest, stress, and activity, not the sensor itself. It worked equally well sitting still as it did walking or riding.
The Charging Trade-Off
There is one tradeoff to Garmin’s design. CIRQA has to come off your wrist to be charged. Garmin elected to use the same proprietary 4-pin connector for charging (and data transfer if connecting to a computer) as they use on their watches. Charging generally takes about 90 minutes from a 20% battery. Whoop’s PowerPack, on the other hand, clips onto the band itself. Whoop users can charge without every taking the strap off, indefinitely. That’s a real difference.
It’s not a dealbreaker, I will stand by this. At 10 days of claimed battery according to Garmin, you’re removing CIRQA for under 90 minutes roughly every eight to ten days. In reality, the Gen 4 is slightly less efficient on battery draw, and I was charging every 6-7 days. CIRQA wins on cost. For 90 minutes of lost data, you are still fully within the Garmin Connect ecosystem and all of your training and recovery data is in one place for easy reference.
The Bottom Line: CIRQA isn’t trying to out-feature Whoop. It’s undercutting Whoop’s business model. For riders already living in the Garmin ecosystem who want Fenix/Forerunner-grade physiological data just for overnight without wearing a bulky GPS watch, or who simply don’t want to wear GPS watch all day, or who aren’t’ keen on a recurring subscription, this is an easy yes.

RCR-G: A Gravel Bike Engineered To Win
As gravel racing has evolved into a fast, high-intensity discipline, VAN RYSEL identified an opportunity to redefine what a performance gravel bike should be. At the heart of the RCR-G is an 885 g high-modulus carbon frame (size M, unpainted) paired with a 417 g carbon fork. Developed using premium carbon fibre and a gravel-specific layup, the frame delivers exceptional power transfer while maintaining the durability required for off-road racing.
Every detail has been optimised to reduce overall weight and improve performance, from the integrated monocoque cockpit, available on the SRAM RED-equipped model, to the lightweight thru-axles and vibration-damping carbon seatpost. The flagship SRAM RED-equipped model weighs in at just 7.7 kg (size M).

Development

The frame

POC Magdeleine Vallieres Helmet
Celebrating a World Champion
To mark a season that changed the record books, POC has partnered with Magdeleine Vallieres — reigning UCI Road World Champion and EF Education–Oatly rider — on a limited-edition helmet created to celebrate a year in the rainbow bands and Mags’s unique perspective and character.
In September 2025, Vallieres soloed to the rainbow jersey in Kigali, Rwanda, becoming Canada’s first-ever elite road race world champion in the sport’s 98-year history. She arrived ranked 149th and largely unknown to most observers — a result of years spent riding in support of teammates in races like the Vuelta a España Femenina, the Giro d’Italia Women and the Tour de France Femmes.

Protection
Safety is the central role of a helmet, and the Cytal was developed with this as its priority. The EPS liner has variable density across the helmet, created by heat map evidence analysed by POC’s in-house tech and research team. Ventilation

The ultimate (XCO) racing machine
Pez Fans, we don’t often — in fact, ever — feature mountain bikes. But, Andy is a moron and got talked into racing “the hardest single-day mountain race in America” — Marji Gesick 100. So, for once, we are gonna feature a halo-worthy Cross-Country Olympic (XCO) bike you can own.
Off-road competitions have changed. XCO courses are increasingly fast, technical and selective, and racing speed is no longer the result of a single element. It stems from the balance between efficiency, traction and control. Wilier Triestina rises to this new challenge with Urta Ultimate, the most advanced full suspension mountain bike the brand has ever made.
Developed with the athletes of the Wilier-Vittoria MTB Factory Team and refined race after race on the World Cup circuit, at the Cape Epic and the World Championships, Urta Ultimate brings top-level racing experience to the bike. Every detail is designed with one goal in mind: to transfer all the rider’s power to the ground, while minimizing energy dispersion.
Geometry redefined. Rider at the centre.
The new geometry is defined by five key measurements: reach, stack, seat angle,bottom bracket height and head tube angle. In size L, the reach increases by 9 mm. The seat angle changes from 75° to 76.8°, steepening the seat tube angle and bringing the saddle position forward, placing the rider at the centre of the bike.
Since the bottom bracket is lower, so is the centre of gravity. Combined with shorter cranksets, this position is more biomechanically favorable, improving both bike fit and power output. The stack remains unchanged. The position is compact, tucked, responsive, completed by the integrated handlebar and stem.
120mm, improved kinematics
Urta Ultimate was designed around a platform with 120 mm of front and rear travel, with completely redesigned kinematics to deliver sensitivity, support and performance throughout the entire stroke. The suspension remains active even under load, improving uphill traction and allowing the rider to continue pushing when the terrain gets tougher. The new leverage ratio values make the suspension more linear and predictable throughout the stroke. They maximize initial grip and absorption, support pedaling through the mid-stroke, and provide the support needed with the most violent impacts towards the end of the stroke.
Latest-generation carbon
Geometry, kinematics, and frame stiffness work together to transfer every watt to the ground. The latest-generation Toray carbon frame guarantees the necessary stiffness to transmit every push without dispersion. The optimized anti-squat stabilizes pedaling even under load, maintaining momentum and efficiency, delivering both on climbs and descents.
Two configurations for a single bike
